The holy Qur'an directs our attention to the important geological function of mountains. And We have placed on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with them, and We placed therein broad highways for them to pass through, that they may be guided (Quran Sura Al-Anbiya : 31) As can be seen, it is stated in the verse that mountains work to prevent turbulence in the Earth's surface . This fact was not known by anyone at the time when the Qur'an was revealed. In fact, they have recently been revealed as a result of discoveries of modern geology. According to this invention, the mountains appear as a result of the movement and collisions of massive plates forming the earth's crust. One more sign that proves God exists and powerful is was the discovery of the pharaoh's body in the red sea. The Qur'an tells of the prophet Moses and his followers were chased by the pharaoh and his army. By His power , God splits the sea and drowned Pharaoh and his followers. All creatures including sea was submissive and obedient to God. How about we as human beings much more perfect? We as humans are not difficult to see the power and majesty of God, just by looking and watching the universe we will know how great the creator of all this. Is there any logical proof that man who created all or all of this happens by chance without a creator? Earth and Mountains   The Scientists know about our beautiful planet more than any other object in the universe and the the earth is mentioned in the Quran about 450 times, the Quran devotes many verses to the signs of God on the earth. One of the nature of the oceans that scientists recently found have been revealed in one verse of the Holy Quran (QS-Ar-Rahman: 19-20) as follows : He let the two seas flow, both the meet, (but) between them, there is a limit which can not be passed by each.
